SFHS Fundraisers Recycle

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
SFHS Student Council is saving the planet with one used cell phone at a time, well, not just cell phones. The Council has created a fundraiser that will collect any old electronic device that you may no longer need. They can be working or broken. Items range from old cell phones, game boys, and empty ink jet cartridges to laptop computers and E-books. The old, worn out devices will be traded in for cash to help raise money for the Student Council costs as well as various activities for the students of SFHS such as the Senior Sunrise and Homecoming Week.

SFHS Explains How to Pop the Question

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Many high school students use a common excuse for a reason not to go to a high school dance; not having a way to ask their date. Needless to be said, every boy and girl is secretly dying to go to the dance and do not care if the question was expensive, bejeweled, or witty; the excuse is feckless.

Freshman introduced to FFA

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Freshmen at both Spanish Fork and Diamond Fork Jr. Highs got their first taste of FFA. Students truly got to learn from the best. Officers from both Spanish Fork High and Maple Mountain High put on the annual Freshman Retreat at Diamond Fork Jr. High yesterday, September eighth. Officers stressed the importance of never quitting, friendship, team work, as well as letting the newest members know of the myriad of opportunities that they can take advantage of. The National FFA Organization is definitely more than just the farmer club. In fact, it is by far the biggest club at Spanish Fork High.

Spanish Fork High School students, staff, and construction workers all worked hard during the summer to continue the Rock Solid tradition from last year. The Staff contributed by pre-planning after school study programs and goals for the new year, as well as extra-curricular activities for the school. Along with the new year, SFHS has a brand new remodeled gym, a new walkway to the entrance, and other new additions that are helping to improve the school.

Extreme Make Over: Spanish Fork High School Style

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Welcome back to the new and improved Spanish Fork High School. Students were welcomed back this year by a newly remodeled building! This summer many changes were made throughout the school including a new gym, band room, choir and drama departments, and science labs. The gym was gutted, repainted, and had a new air conditioning system put in. It also had the big windows and ceiling replaced. The Fine Arts Department had the most changes this year. The choir room and the band room had everything taken out, including the ceiling, the cupboards, and even the carpeting.
