SFHS Student Council Sponsors BBQ Lunch for Student Body

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
As the 2009-2010 school year came to an end the senior council planned a BBQ at lunch time on Friday the 21st, the last day of school for the seniors. This was also yearbook day for the whole school. So if you’re looking for a delicious cheap lunch on Friday afternoon stop on by the grassy common area and grab yourself some grub. It should be oodles of fun and impeccably scrumptious! Senior council has given lots of time and effort into planning this fabulous event, so come on out and join the fun. Hope to see you there!

Last week at Spanish Fork High School, many students were taking the AP tests for their Advanced Placement Classes. Gymnasiums were designated for the students that were taking the test and daily announcements were delayed. Many AP classes are offered at the high school. Taylor Allred, a student at Spanish Fork High School, said that it took him about four hours to complete. There were more than ten different AP tests including Chemistry, Physics, and Pre-Calculus. Each test had about thirty students that took it.

On the 8th of May, Spanish Fork High School had their Sadie Hawkins dance, the last dance of the year. Our school’s FCCLA club sponsored the event, and the theme was ”Sadie’s in the 80s.” Although many didn’t follow the theme exactly, many girls took the opportunity to ask that special date they’ve been wanting all year long and had a great time at the dance. Seeing how many people were there partying at the dance, it was a great outcome. Amberly Larsen states, “It was my birthday and everyone sang to me at the dance.

NHS Appreciates Teachers

The National Honors Society at Spanish Fork High School was up bright and early on Friday morning, the 14th of May to deliver breakfast to their faculty and staff. As is tradition for NHS, the students wrote notes for the teachers which delivered along with the muffins and juice. As one of the many service projects performed throughout the year, this one stands out. It allows students to express their appreciation for the teachers’ hard work and dedication, as well as serve their school. Pictured: Alex Singerman, Makyla Theurer, Taylor Brammall, Jonny Woodbrey
