SFHS Golf Team Dominates

The Spanish Fork golfers were victorious at the fifth region match of the year. They shot a team score of 315 at Spanish Oaks to edge Uintah (323) by eight strokes. Maple Mountain was third at the meet with a 329, followed by Salem Hills’ 333. The Dons now lead Salem Hills by 24 shots in the overall region standings and Uintah is still in the race, just 4 strokes behind the Skyhawks. Maple Mountain is fourth, followed by Springville and Payson. Sophomore David Madsen shot 76 to remain in second place in region. McKay Parr of Salem Hills is in third place in the individual standings while three other Dons golfers are in the top ten: Elliot Naulu is fourth, Bryce Whitaker is fifth, and Rustin Gordon is ninth.
