We will once again be offering four days of credit recovery during the first week of summer. (June 1-4) On Monday and Tuesday we will go from 6:00 a.m. til 9:00 a.m. On Wednesday and Thursday we will go from 6:00 pm til 9:00 pm.
Alyssa Larsen, teacher of the Spanish Fork High School special education program and coach of the girl’s basketball team was recently recognized recently as the “Teacher of The Year” personally by philanthropist Karen Huntsman through her Huntsman Awards for Excellence in Education program.
Spanish Fork High School cheerleaders came home from California with a 3rd place finish in their national competition.
"We competed on Saturday and then the top 35% competed again on Sunday in the finals," said junior cheerleader Kourtney Beus.
Between the rounds of competition, a Spanish Fork cheerleader suffered an injury, but the team worked together to make adjustments that still allowed them to meet their goals for the competition.
"We reworked our routine on Sunday morning and had just enough time to get ready for the competition," said Beus.
Maya McKinney, SF senior qualified to go to nationals in the recent state HOSA competition. She placed first in the Nutrition Knowledge test. She also placed in the top ten of two other events.
Elise Wilson placed in the top ten of four events at the state competition.
Five other young women rounded out Spanish Fork's competition team.
HOSA is an organization for future medical professionals.

Several second semester Computer Technology students have earned certificates from Microsoft. These students have demonstrated mastery of Microsoft PowerPoint by passing a test. This certificate is well-recognized in the business community.
Members of Spanish Fork FFA celebrated National FFA Week last week by planning daily activities such as reading to elementary school students, cleaning up around the school and visiting the Veteran’s Home. Members and students were given a punch card and encouraged to participate each day with completers being put in a drawing for $50.
