CRANES AND CLOTHING FOR JAPAN

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The Spanish Fork High School Japanese Club has challenged it's members and students school-wide to help with the enormous task of folding 1,000 paper cranes. Why one thousand paper cranes? As legend has it, there was once a young Japanese girl who was very sick and close to death. She had heard from people in her community that if one was to fold a thousand paper cranes, a wish would come true. So she began to fold, as did countless friends and loving strangers.

SF Physics Races to the finish

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
In the last few weeks the physics classes of Spanish Fork High School created some air pressure powered cars. These cars were built from nothing but card stock paper, metal axels, wood blocks and plastic wheels. The class members glued these materials together to make their machines. Fantastic cars were built and raced all around the different classes. For example, one of the physics students, Wesley Curtain, built a car with wings on the side. Amazingly, this car "the Flying Crusant, actually got some air when it was launched.

Alice in Wonderland at SFHS

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

On April 28th-30th at 7:00 PM and April 30th at 3:00 PM, Spanish Fork High School will be putting on the production of Alice in Wonderland. The script was written by Meg Grierson, the drama teacher at Spanish Fork, with the help of some students, using material from the movies and books. There was a great turn out from the fall production ‘Phantom of the Opera’, and SFHS is hoping to be able to get the same turn out for this performance. A lot of hours have been spent working on the elaborate costumes and the set, and all of the students are excited for their roles in this magical play.

AP tests are graded on a scale of one to five, five being the best you can get. If students receive a three or higher they pass and will receive many college credits for very cheap. Students are using every opportunity, free time, and homework time they have to study up using various methods.
