DECA’s closing social features a published author as a guest speaker

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
During the later part of April, the DECA club had a fantastic closing social with an extraordinary speaker. An author, Rich Christiansen, who recently signed a contract with McGraw Hill for his newest book “The Zig Zag Principle” came to the class and taught some truly enlightening concept about business and entrepreneurship. Teaching about the importance about reaching your goals step by step, Rich held a intense hands on discussion where he gave “zigs and zags” of success in business. The event went very well including everything from the food to the lesson.

SF Lady Golfers Fight for the State Title

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Spanish Fork High’s Girls Golf Team has been fighting since day one to hold their title as Region Champs. After the shoulder injury of their best player, Karlie Abplanalp, the rest of the girls stepped up to help win 2nd in Region only a few points behind Uintah. Every single player has worked hard to have the great season they’ve had. The Lady Dons have had practice every week day, including a usual hour work out, and can’t wait to give it their all at the state tournament. Only four players from each team are allowed to play at the State Tournament.

SFHS TRACK & FIELD on the Move

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
This season the boys and girls track & field teams at Spanish Fork High School are small in numbers, but are making quite an impact on region. The team is also very young, with lots of freshman and sophomores and only 4 returning seniors on the boys and girls teams. With such a young team, things are looking good for the future and even right now as the freshman on the girls’ team make up most of the girls’ relays and do well in those races considering they are running against older girls. The girls’ team has seen a lot of success so far this year.
