Hope Squad Spreads Self-Esteem

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The Hope Squad recently visited Spanish Fork Jr. High and Diamond Fork Jr. High, they taught younger students that building self-esteem is essential.  The squad did a handful of activities with eighth graders to help them realize that they are unique in their own ways.  At the same time they tried to help them find similarities in each other to help create long-lasting friendships.

After coming off a very emotional victory against the Springville Red Devils, the Dons were looking forward to facing off with the American Fork Cavemen. The players were confident going into the game, having the opportunity watch film of Springville's game plans helped them realize that if they stopped the run they would win.

Softball 4A State Champions

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

On May 27, 2011 the Spanish Fork High School softball team started their summer off right by winning the 4A state championship. Not only did they win, but after losing their first game at the Valley Complex in Taylorsville, they battled back through the losers bracket.  That loss didn’t get the Lady Dons down.  Coming back the next day, they faced their rival, Salem Hills.  After beating the Skyhawks with a score of 9-4, and the Uintah Utes 4-1, Spanish Fork felt great about knocking out two of their region opponents. The girls didn’t stop there.

Senior Sunrise

During the wee hours of the morning, the annual Senior Sunrise was an inspiring success.  Watching the dawn of the morning is a symbol of the dawn of Senior's last year together at Spanish Fork High School.  Donned in pajamas and blankets, students welcomed the sun peeking over the mountains with a cheery appaulse.  Treating themselves to a scrumptious breakfast  on the football field was an added plus to start the day--and year--out right.
