PLAN Test September 16th

Submitted by kippy.bishop on

The district has selected this Wednesday, September 16th as the official testing day for all sophomores to take the “Plan” Test (Pre-ACT).  JUNIORS AND SENIORS WILL NOT ATTEND SCHOOL on that day.

Taking the PLAN is a great way to prepare for the ACT.   The Plan test scores will be posted on your student’s transcripts so we encourage students to take the test seriously. Also, test scores can be used to qualify students for concurrent enrollment classes.

We are excited to announce our plans for Homecoming Week, September 14-September 19, 2015. Homecoming is an exciting time for Spanish Fork High School, and we want to make sure all students know about the events so that they can take part in the activities. Here is our schedule:
  • Monday: Powder Puff football. It's free on the football field. The games will start at 6:00 pm. We anticipate the championship to be at 7:30 pm.

SFHS Goes Technological

Students at Spanish Fork High School have more opportunities to use technology than ever before. In fact, many students are checking out portable Chromebook computers to take home with them on a permanent basis. Around 450 students are assigned permanent computers.

"Our goal is to have a 1-to-1 student to portable device ratio by next year," says Principal Dave McKee. "Right now, we have about 1200 portable devices including the ones checked out to students and the ones stationed in portable labs around the school. We're almost at our goal," McKee added.

Sun Shines on Annual Senior Sunrise

Submitted by deon.youd on

The class of 2016 awoke dark and early on Friday, August 28 for the annual "Senior Sunrise." The senior class gathered on the football field before sun up to hang out with friends, eat yummy muffins, and watch the sun dawn on their final year as a Don.

"Senior sunrise is important because it resembles the beginning to our end here at SFHS," says Trevor Ludlow, senior class council member. "It brings the seniors together," Ludlow added.

Senior sunrise has become a time-honored tradition that students look forward to from their sophomore year on.
