Principal Matt Christensen Honored with the Secondary Principal Crystal Owl Award 2023

Matt Christensen, Principal of Spanish Fork High in Nebo School District, was honored with the Secondary Principal Crystal Owl Award during a Nebo Administrator Training in May. This award is provided by Craig Harvey through Horace Mann.

Dons take on UVU Business/Marketing School

Four SFHS recently attended an event at UVU sponsored by the Woodbury School of Business Marketing Department. Colby Braithwaite, Seth Poulson, Reese Oldham, and Peyton Randall were able to tour the Keller Business building and compete for prizes and scholarship money.  Peyton Randall placed second in the Resume Competition and earned some prizes and scholarship money.  All students received UVU swag and learned about programs and various opportunities available at UVU.

Latinos in Action Conference

On Tuesday, May 9th, the Latinos in Action students attended the LIA Annual Conference at the University of Utah. The theme this year was "Stand for More". The day started off by listening to the keynote speaker, Dr. Jose M. Hernandez. Dr. Hernandez is an astronaut for NASA and he's the very first Latino astronaut that has been in space, is a published children's author, and will now be portrayed in an Amazon original movie coming this fall. Throughout the day, the students were also able to attend a couple of seminars on being entrepreneurs and on Latinos in STEM careers.
