DECA Fall Leadership Conference

SFHS DECA Officers attended their Fall Leadership Conference in Park City on September 29 & 30.  It was an awesome experience and our students learned a great deal about leadership, sales, entrepreneurship, and communication from industry leaders.  The keynote speaker was Randy Hales, CEO of ZAGG who talked about how to increase value and be a leader in your field and presented everyone in attendance with a free set of iFrogz bluetooth earbuds.

Have you ever heard a screeching violin? Well, it’s pretty dang painful!  Thankfully, the musicians who have been accepted into the All-National Honors Ensembles won’t have to deal with anything quite like that. Students from 49 states have been accepted into 4 different ensembles: the band, the orchestra, the choir, and the jazz ensemble. In order to audition, these students had to have participated in their states All State Music Festival, as well as received superior ratings in their state’s solo and ensemble festival.

Reflections Contest 2016

It is time again for the PTA reflections contest. This is a great way to share your talents. PTA celebrates the arts with recognition and prizes.  The theme this year is "What is your story."  It encourages new material made with this theme in mind.  Last year, we had an entry make it to State!
