Congratulations to our boys and girls swim team for their success at Region competition last weekend. The boys' team finished 2nd and the girls' team finished 5th.

We Are Drill

Congratulations to our very own Las Chalitas on being Region 10 Champs. They competed last Saturday at Payson High School and placed 1st in all three routines. Congratulations to Abby Larsen and Taitum Tucker for placing first and second in the Drill Down. Averi Higginson, Maddy Francis, and Abbey Worthen were recognized for All Region, and Mylie Baum, Bailee Bills, Taitum Tucker, and Bailey Hansen were recognized for All Region Academic. Bailey Hansen was the recipient of our "Hero Award". Come support them as they compete for the State Title.

It is with great pleasure we inform you that Mr. Joe Kelly has been recognized in Sterling Brinkerhoff's application for the Lynn Jensen Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Jensen was passionate about students, and the important role school counselors have in serving all students. The main piece of the scholarship application is to write an essay about a counselor who has made a difference in the student’s life. An essay was written nominating Mr.

New Floral Shop at SFHS

Great job to all of those who have worked so hard on the transformation of small engines shop to a floral facility for students. Demolition, layout plan, reconstruction, painting and final design. This is going to be a great multipurpose facility. Thanks to everyone involved.

Outstanding Theater Teacher

Congrats to our own Andy Hunsaker! He was recently named Outstanding Theatre Teacher by the Utah High School Activities Association. Mr. Hunsaker is one of the favorite teachers here at SFHS. His classes are high energy and are always a fun and safe place to be. We are privileged to call Mr. Hunsaker a Don.

Congrats to Erika Poulsen who was in the top ten auditions at the Utah Theatre Association conference this weekend. She was a scholarship winner. We also want to congratulate Nick Howell, Tristan Bowman, Abby Hill, Logan McGraw, and Maddie Reese. All of our seniors received callbacks from many local universities and colleges. GO DRAMA DONS!

Floral Shop Open House

Floral Shop Open House

Spanish Fork FFA is hosting an open house for their remodeled floral shop on January 24th from 5:30 to 7. Students, faculty and community members are invited to bring their families to the open house. There will be fun workshops, a raffle and refreshments will be served. Please come! It will be fun!

Mr. Warren is the UtSTA Outstanding Biology Science Teacher

Brad Warren is a Biology/Medical Anatomy Teacher for Spanish Fork High School. This is his twenty first year teaching, sixteen at Spanish Fork High, and his first five at Payson Junior High School. He currently teaches Biology 1010 CE, Biology 1610 CE/AP Biology, and Medical Anatomy/Physiology courses to grades 10-12. He received his B.S.in Biology from The University of Utah and his M.D. in Education from The University of Phoenix. He has earned the Spanish Fork High School “Teacher of the Year” award for 2013.

A high school internship may be exactly what you need to give yourself real world experience in an occupation that interests you. Internships are available to Juniors and Seniors in all career fields, including health science, education and training, marketing and finance and so much more!  Better still, internships count towards a CTE Pathway for students who would like to graduate with a pathway certificate in a specific field of study. Pick up an application today from Mrs. Seale in the counseling office if you'd like to apply for an internship for 2nd semester.
