CTE spotlight for February 13 is Aleah Lanegan. Throughout CTE Month in February, we would like to recognize some of the amazing students we have participating in our CTE programs and highlight the achievements and accomplishments that they have experienced while attending Spanish Fork High. Career and technical education, or CTE, is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management and many more.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival Touring Company will be performing Romeo and Juliet Monday evening, March 16, 2020, 7 p.m. at Springville High School. This performance is free to the public. All ninth-graders are studying Romeo and Juliet in their English classes this year.

Since 1986, Kids Who Count has provided Early Intervention services to families of young children residing in the Nebo School District boundaries. We’ve helped thousands of families and children and we can help you. If you are concerned about your baby or toddler’s development or had a medical professional talk to you about some milestones your child hasn’t yet reached, you may be eligible for early intervention services. The purpose of Early Intervention is to enhance early growth and development in infants and toddlers under three, who have developmental delays or disabilities.

Congratulations to the DONS Wrestling Team in total DONimation at the 5A state divisional tournament this past weekend. Spanish Fork placed 4th as a team, and qualified 12 wrestlers for the upcoming state tournament. State qualifiers are Tate Sorensen at 113 lbs, Bridger Warren at 120 lbs, Evan Prokopiw, and Clayton Orton at 126 lbs, Dawson Shepherd at 138 lbs, Coleman Crokett and Ammon Anderson at 145 lbs, Brock Davis and Isaac Wetzel at 160 lbs, Tyson Terry at 195 lbs, Matt Smith at 220lbs, and Jayden Green at Heavyweight. Kudos to all wrestlers and coaches!
