Student at Spanish Fork High School honored America's veterans on November 11, 2014 with a Veterans Day assembly.
The assembly included special musical selections by the SFHS orchestra and band as well as remarks from a local veteran, Jeff Long.
Long served in Afghanistan and talked to students about his experiences there. He showed students entrenchment tools used by the Army from World War I, World War II, the Vietnam era, and today. He pointed out that with each era, the military made changes to the tool for the better.
"We adapt and become better," Long said.
In addition to the assembly, flags lined the sidewalks between buildings on the SFHS campus. Several students also wore dress clothes to school as a show of respect for the servicemen and women in our country.
