Rise and Shout the Cougars are out...@ SFHS!

Rise & Shout--Thursday, Sept. 8th Sports & Entertainment Marketing students enjoyed a visit from Cougar Marketing specialists, David Almodova, BYU Sports Marketing Director, and Stu Call, BYU Athletics Social Media Director. These marketing professionals shared their expertise with Mrs. Jacobson’s A3 class and students loved it!  Class members learned how the Cougar marketing machine works with BYU coaches and players to set goals, create exciting and memorable promotional campaigns, and how they work to capitalize on “Cougar Moments.”  The BYU team consistently works to strengthen and increase the Y's world-wide fan base and sell tickets to events. Students were able to learn about marketing strategies and the latest technology in tracking social media from trend setters in collegiate sports. 

Students were delighted when these men extended an invitation for students to shadow their sports marketing staff members this year. Students will have incredible opportunities to see and experience marketing skills first hand, BYU style, at various sporting events.
