The ProStart Foods class at Spanish Fork High School showed off their skills as they continued “Feed A Teacher” luncheon this year. Every staff member was invited to participate in a special lunch cuisine created by the ProStart class members. The ProStart class is an advanced food course. The curriculum is from the National Restaurant Association that gives high school students a jump start in the restaurant business. Not only do students focus on the culinary arts and food preparation, but they also receive training in the business side of running a restaurant. Students are involved in competitions during the year along with preparing food for luncheons. The faculty and staff enjoy this opportunity to let the students practice on them. Carol Larsen, the ProStart teacher, prepares the students well for these experiences.
