New Police Officer Joins Security Team

Submitted by deon.youd on

This year we have many new faces among our faculty and staff. One of them is our new campus police officer Trent Shepherd. Shepherd is an officer in the Spanish Fork Police Department, and because of the rotation of security officers, he is now part of the team at SFHS.

Officer Shepherd is a graduate of Spanish Fork High, so he was very excited to return to his old high school. His job and the job of the other security officers is to keep the students and faculty of our school safe and to protect campus property. To make our school more secure, all security officers attend activities and sporting events to watch out for any suspicious activity.

Other than being a high school security officer, Shepherd also teaches Law Enforcement, investigates crimes on campus, and still works for SFPD.

Shepherd's favorite color is blue, his favorite food is steak and shrimp, his favorite movie is The Goonies, and when he was a kid, he wanted to be a police officer when he grew up. Also, his favorite sport is wrestling and his favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys. Welcome to SFHS, Officer Shepherd.
