Koins for Korbin

When 1st grader Korbin McEwan was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma in early March, Spanish Fork High School student body decided to step up and help out. The school came up with lots of ideas to help raise some money. To start off the student body officer’s pledged that if enough money was raised, they would have to acquire a certain dare for an entire week that other students in the school had come up with. Among those dares were the following: during the Prom assembly Kaitlyn Hansen drank a whole bottle of lemon juice while Candace Wride was duct taped to the wall and Shea Johnson had peanut butter licked off her face by a dog. Some of the other ongoing dares throughout the week went as follows: Kaleb Ashworth had to do the hokey pokey upon command, Kambri Shenk couldn’t talk the whole week, Trevor West had to dress up as a different Disney Princess each day, Garret Stirland had to shave half of his body, Max Johnson and Kaitlyn Hansen had to switch each other’s clothes each day, and Candace Wride had to wear a duck bill around. From these SBO dares the students earned 856 dollars. In addition to the SBO dares, dog tags were sold for three dollars that contained the label “SF DONS FIGHT.” Other projects were Kookies for Korbin sold during lunch and a Benefit Concert. These fundraisers went on throughout senior week all for the good cause of Korbin and an added bonus of school spirit.
