Hope Squad Builds Self Esteem at Jr. Highs

Submitted by ts on

SFHS Hope Squad had the opportunity to visit both Spanish Fork and Diamond Fork Jr. Highs. They talked to 8th grade health classes about self esteem and making friends. The activities they provided were presented in a way that was fun and helped them get to know each other. The kids also learned how to build each other up as well as themselves.

Candace Wride, a senior in the Hope Squad said: “It was a really fun experience. I think it’s important to build self esteem in kids at that age because they are starting to make more friends and are moving up to the “big school”; I feel very privileged to be a part of this.” It was a great experience not only for the kids who were taught, but also for the Hope Squad Members.
