FFA Judging Competition

Submitted by deon.youd on

Spanish Fork FFA as well as Maple Mountain and 23 other FFA chapters traveled to Snow College on October 8, 2013 to take part in a judging competition. The competition consisted of more than thirty different competitions including, floriculture, vet science, range, livestock, and dairy cows. One team from Spanish Fork High School judged dairy cows.

After practicing every Wednesday for about a month, students were ready for the competition. They judged four cows in each of five classes, ranking the cows from one through four.

After judging all five classes, students compared their rankings with the scores from experts and added them up. The team them added their collective score and ended with a total score of 508 out of 750, not bad for a team of new judges.

The other FFA teams from Spanish Fork High School did well in their respective competitions as well.
