DECA International Competition

DECA club is a club where the members not only learn about business and marketing but get to practice it. Last week from the 29th of April to the 4th of May there was an international competition where the best over 15,000 students came to compete and for leadership training came from Puerto Rico, Korea, Canada, and the USA came to Orlando, Florida to participate. This event wasn’t just a competition it was a trade show where the students were able to see booths from huge corporations and universities. The participants competed in many different events. Not only did the students compete but they were treated to days in the Sun, Disney World, and Sea World before going back home. Our very own Tanner Holt, with DECA, competed in the Sports & Entertainment and Marketing competing with a written test and two role plays and placed in the top 20 internationally. Tanner encourages, “all to come and participate in DECA next year.” Participation in DECA club not only looks good on applications and resumes but can also be lots of fun.
