Alyssa Wright, a senior at Spanish Fork High School, is doing an internship at the Provo Attorney General’s Office. She’s doing it during the morning hours. Most of her job is doing lots of filing and data entry. She goes to court and spends time with attorneys to gain experience concerning her career. She listens to conferences and learns about different parts of the law. A response was given by Mrs. Thomas, the intern coordinator at SFHS, as to why internships are important, “It helps you decide what you want and not wanted to do, so that you don’t have to waste your time and money after high school thinking about it.” She revealed that Alyssa’s doing something that most students do not do, because lawyers do more research than they are in court. “I love the Internship program, it’s lots of hands on work, it is a neat experience and I would recommend it to everyone”, Alyssa explained.
