Our Lady Don Softball Team is having another amazing season! Coach Natalie Jarvis was also recently recognized as being a UHSAA Gold Star Coach for the 2023 season! No one deserves the award more! Coach Nat’ has been in our program for a long time and has been a crucial part of its success! Keep it up, Coach and @sf.fastpitch team!

Here is more about the award and Coach Jarvis:

The Utah High School Activities association after careful consideration of all nominees have selected Coach Natalie Jarvis as the State 5A “Gold Star Award” recipient this year.  Coach Jarvis was nominated by the Spanish Fork Athletic Department and selected by the UHSAA Sportsmanship Committee as a coach who deserves recognition for inspiring students and for being a positive role model.

Coach Jarvis has created a culture of excellence with her team that extends beyond the outcome of the games and the championships won.  Her athletes excel in the classroom, are committed to each other, and are positive influences in our school and community.  One of the best features of Coach Nat is her ability to smile through pretty much everything except when she is talking about the Spring weather this year…  As an observer it is often difficult to distinguish between her congratulating a player for an incredible play, or providing correction for her team after a difficult inning.  This consistent, positive approach is an example to all of what athletics is really about – taking care of kids!

The Spanish Fork Administration is so proud of Natalie and her accomplishment as this year’s 5A Gold Star Coach of the Year!
