SFHS will administer the ACT Test for our Juniors on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023. Each Junior student enrolled in SFHS is already registered to take the test. Students will need to arrive at 7:40 AM on test day with their charged and updated Chromebook/charger, a photo ID, #2 pencil for scratch work, and a calculator if wanted (calculator policy attached). There will be a calculator available on the testing software during the Math section if interested, but the school WILL NOT provide calculators. Testing will begin promptly at 7:50 AM. Room assignments are now posted by the Copy Center, Library, and Auditorium. WE ENCOURAGE ALL JUNIOR STUDENTS TO CHECK THESE LISTS TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ON THE LIST!!  If it isn't, immediately let Mr. Spainhower know so you can be added. If your name is not on those lists by test day, you will not be able to take the  test on the 22nd.  The make-up day will be on Wednesday, March 29th for students not able to test on the 22nd. These are the only two days available to take the ACT Test at Spanish Fork High.

There is a 'non-test information' part of the ACT to complete, but it is not required. This allows ACT to collect helpful data, and provides students with the opportunity to send their scores to different colleges/universities for free. We are using our History classes to complete this task. If a student does not have a current History class, or if they are absent the day this is done, this information will be given to them before the test to complete on their own. The test will be administered on a Chromebook. If you would like to take a tutorial of the TestNav software, take practice tests, or view other helpful ACT resources, follow the links below. You do not need to login to the practice test site, just click on the practice test option.

Electronics of any kind will not be permitted on test day. This includes cell phones, smart watches, and fitness bands. We encourage all of our students to get a good night's rest before the test and eat a wholesome breakfast that morning.   There will be more information about bus transportation in future emails.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Spainhower at   seth.spainhower [at] nebo.edu (seth[dot]spainhower[at]nebo[dot]edu).
