Spanish Fork High School UCBT students perform talent show

Last week, the Utah Career Based Transition students held their own talent show. The UCBT class is for students with special needs. The talent show was combined with all the other schools in the region excluding Uintah because they didn’t want to make the drive. The teachers love to put on the talent show so their students can perform their special talents in front of students who are just like them. This was the second annual talent show, and it has been held at Spanish Fork both years. Teachers at Spanish Fork High School will sometimes take their other classes down to the assembly and let them cheer on our special friends. The talents ranged anywhere from reciting Dr. Suess’ Green Eggs and Ham from memory, to singing songs word for word and dancing their hearts out. A crowd favorite was the opening act from Spanish Fork. The kids all had glow sticks taped to their clothes and they performed a glow in the dark dance. “We are so proud of our UCBT students and the great job that they did. Our students that went and watched the play, did an awesome job at cheering loud after every act and supporting the kids,” said Alyssa Larsen, UCBT teacher.
