On February 4th, the Spanish Fork Las Chalitas had the opportunity to compete at the State Competition at UVU. Because of the overall results at the Region Competition (2nd Military, 2nd Dance, 1st Kick, 2nd Overall) Spanish Fork qualified to go to State. Along with Salem Hills and Maple Mountain from Region 8, and 13 other teams in the State of Utah, Spanish Fork placed 7th overall at the State Competition. Although the girls did not place in the top 5, they were still pleased with their performances, and the overall results of the year. Claire Stodtmeister says, “It’s not about the end results, it’s about how you feel when you walk off the floor.” The Las Chalitas have had a great year, and represent Spanish Fork well. Good job SF Drill!
