Spanish Fork High School advanced auto body classes toured UVU's automotive program. Students learned about the programs UVU offers and all of the things they could do with a degree in automotives.
One of the most popular classes in UVU's program is diesel mechanics. A representative of the diesel program told students that he has high expectations for his students as they go out into the world.
"I make my kids practice a lot so they can become good at it, so when I suggest them to work for someone, they don't ruin my reputation," he joked.
The representative also told students that the program is good for anyone. In fact, the program will soon graduate its first female mechanic.
"You've just go to want it bad enough," he said.
