The Advanced Learning Center had the honor of hosting Representative Jefferson "Jeff" S. Burton today. Representative Burton is not only an esteemed member of the Utah House of Representatives, serving the 66th district, but he is also a retired Army Major General. Since being elected in 2020, he has been a key figure in our community, succeeding Mike McKell, who transitioned to the Senate.
During his visit, Representative Burton toured our school, engaging with both staff and students. Our students had the unique opportunity to ask him questions, gaining insights into his experiences and the workings of government. His visit was a wonderful chance for our students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Representative Burton for taking time from his busy schedule to witness firsthand the incredible work happening here at the Advanced Learning Center.
