Our school will be hosting a screening of the film, Angst. Angst is a 56-minute film that explores anxiety- its causes, effects and what we can do about it. With Anxiety being so prevalent, we have seen a need to inform parents, teachers and students and provide them with resources and tools. We will be providing a screening for all parents on Tuesday, September 18th at 7 PM in the auditorium. We strongly encourage you to come to our parent night.
We will be holding a Parent Night for our Latinos in Action club on Thursday, Sept 13, 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the high school. You will be greeted and directed to the room in the main lobby.
Some of our counselors attended a conference at Southern Utah University and were able to learn about all the up and coming things going on at SUU. They received insight on great things the University is doing to help transitioning Freshman, how the school is assisting students financially, and what different departments are doing to cater to a wide variety of students. There really is something for each student at SUU. If you have any questions regarding SUU we encourage you to talk to your counselor to find out more information.
