HOSA Service Project

Spanish Fork's HOSA club put on a school-wide service project to write Thank You cards/Valentine's for First Responders all over the state of Utah. Students wrote the cards in their English classes for three weeks. The project ended up with a grand total of 13,775 cards written! All of these Thank Yous/Valentines were shipped out on time for Valentine's Day to all of the Law Enforcement agencies in Utah. The top two classes won a donut party from Cowboy Donuts, located in Spanish Fork, Utah. Way to go to the student body of Spanish Fork High School! You guys are Rock Solid!

Congratulations to our boys and girls swim team for their success at Region competition last weekend. The boys' team finished 2nd and the girls' team finished 5th.

Sterling Scholar Applicatons Now Available

Organization:

Attention Seniors. Sterling Scholar applications are now available in the Counseling Center, stop by and pick yours up today.

Any senior who has a great interest in and excels in any of these 14 categories should consider applying.

The categories are: English, Math, Social Science, Science, World Languages, Computer Technology, Skilled and Technical, Family and Consumer Sciences, Business and Marketing, Speech & Theater Arts, Vocal Performance, Visual Arts, Instrumental Music, and Dance.

Applications must be returned to Mrs. Whittekiend in Room C110 before 3:00 p.m. on October 31st.

Region golf

Organization: Boys golf team

Hey Dons, them golfer boys done got that chip! Ben Clayson put the team on his back and was mighty clutch down the stretch. Some highlights of his round included an eagle, a dirty sequence of fist pumps on the 17th, and throwing an absolute dart into the 18th hole as he nearly holed out from about 115 yards to seal the deal. His 69 earned him the individual medalist honors and his golf team done earned that chip! Nick Shaheen was next in line with a 72. It was truly a big boy performance when the team needed it most. He was a huge reason why them golfers got that chip! Josh Radford shot a very steady 74, making just three bogeys all day long in high winds. The golf team done won that chip and Rad Dad's senior leadership was a big reason why! Tytan Bingham also shot 74 but got hosed with an unfortunate ruling to end up with 76. Them golfers just earned that chip and Tytan Bingham deserves lots of love for that! Tye Barber rounded out the counting scores with a 76. Tye played a huge role in the team's success with his round and his season. His team just won that chip and that's the reason we call him Bibbies! Tyce Lemon, Swill Bradford, and Gavin Martin also competed hard for them Dons. The region title was not given, no, those boys went out and took that chip and the golf team will have the honor of being the first to put a trophy in the new trophy case!

District Dance Concert

Come Dance with us. Come join the fun at our annual District Dance Company Concert, hosted this year at Springville High. October 8th 7pm come support Dance Company along with the other Dance Companies in our district. Let's DANCE!
