On April 27th, 2010, Spanish Fork High School held its annual Keys to Success assembly. At this yearly event, Ken Garff not only gives away a new car, but they also give away a $1,000 scholarship to a lucky SFHS student. This year’s lucky winner of that scholarship was Mackenzi Berns, a Spanish Fork High School senior. She said, “I was so nervous right before they announced the winner; my legs were shaking! Then I was in shock when they called my name! I even screamed a little I was so happy!” Mackenzi is already on track to go to Utah Valley University this fall.

On Wednesday April 28, Spanish Fork High students attended the Utah High School Film Festival. They had many great entries, unfortunately none of them won. However , a video created by Merrick Richardson, Nick Anderson, and Max Johnson, called Let’s Get it On, which was entered in the comedy section was originally set to be the first place video. After further review the judges found that it was not in direct compliance with the rules and disqualified it. SF students said it was still a fun experience and greatly enjoyed.
