On the day of October 18th, Spanish Fork's very own, talented Elliot Naulu placed 2nd in the 4A state golf tournament. The tournament took place at Sunbrook Golf course in St George. Elliot was asked to recount his experience at state and how he felt about the tournament. On the first day, he shot a 75 and the leader was only three strokes ahead with a 72. On the second day, he was 3 under going onto hole 16. Coach Rogers looked at the scores and said Elliot needed to birdie those next three holes to beat the leader. Elliot got up to the green and ended up with a par.

SFHS PTSA Students Give Service

Spanish Fork PTSA students gave a little back on Tuesday, Nov. 22 to one of their proud sponsors “Jaxies”. While cleaning Jaxies, the students came to know the manager and the business. While the students were sweeping, dusting, and cleaning all around, the manager came to serve the students with hot chocolate. As Jaxies has only been in Spanish Fork a couple of years, they are known for their sandwiches and hot drinks. The students would like to send a special thanks to the managers, Roger and Dee for all their help during the service project.

Spanish Fork High School NHS Members Deliver Thanksgiving Dinners

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
The week before Thanksgiving, the entire National Honors Society of Spanish Fork gathered together. This was to organize food they had collected to bring Thanksgiving dinner to those who couldn’t afford it. They spent their first few hours buying the turkeys and organizing the food. Once they had it organized, they stayed up late delivering turkeys, potatoes and other Thanksgiving essentials through the snowy November evening. The NHS members worked to serve and the recipients were delighted to find that they could have a great meal for their family on Thanksgiving.

SFHS Students GiveThanks by Serving

SFHS students spent their Thanksgiving break visiting residents in the Spanish Fork Nursing Home. Due to the stormy weather, some of the resident’s families were not able to visit them for the holiday. Kenya Jimenez, Freddy Jimenez and Alexandra Cia helped keep the residents company and hoped to make the Thanksgiving Spirit more prevalent. The Residents were very grateful for the students to give their time, and for bringing their homemade cookies and treats. The students felt very grateful for the opportunity to give their time, and the chance to get to know the residents.
