National Honor Society Turn on Porch Lights

Spanish Fork High School's National Honor Society is amazing! This organization donates so much to our community including 50 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need, Christmas to ten different children, receiving blankets for local hospitals, book marks for the Juvenile Detention Center, red ribbon week and so much more! The funds that the organization uses to support these services are strictly from an annual fundraiser. This year NHS decided to try a different kind of fundraiser, not one where you sell an item and get a small percentage of profit back.

On Monday January 24, 2011, the Spanish Fork High School Book Club held a Mock Hunger Games activity after school. After reading the book series of the same name, the Book Club conceived their own version of the Hunger Games. The “Games” were a combination of fun and competitive activities from hop-scotch and sword fights to blowing up balloons and Twister. Each player faced different obstacles, wherein they would battle for the win in the last and final test – a game of Twister. The winner of the 2011 Mock Hunger Games was Paige [Insert Last Name].
