Emily Wessman Wins Scholarship in Financial Literacy

A BIG congrats to EMILY WESSMAN who won a $1,000 Scholarship from Next Generation Personal Finance (NGPF). Financial Literacy students were asked to play an online game sponsored by NGPF called PAYBACK where they had to make decisions that are typical of college students to see how those decisions affected their finances. Mrs. Jacobson then asked students to submit a 250-word essay about their experience playing the PAYBACK game to enter a national scholarship contest. Only one essay could be submitted from our school and Emily’s essay won that honor at SFHS and then again at the national level as well.
