Students in Mrs. Whittekiend's Business Management classes were visited today by Brandon Gordon, local business owner, and city council member. He shared insights, personal stories, and advice on how to be successful in the business world. He also answered questions and encouraged every student to find something they are passionate about and go for it. "Being a business owner is hard work. There will be days you ask yourself, 'what was I thinking?' But then you get past it and realize it's totally worth it!" Thank you @brgordo2323 for visiting with us today!

Congratulations to our FCS Sterling Scholar--Katlyn Swan. She has advanced to the final round of interviews and judging and will represent SFHS as a Sterling Scholar finalist for 2021. Katlyn is a remarkable student who takes the time to learn and always does her absolute best. She has been a part of the FCCLA club for 2 years and currently serves as vice president. She is also an outstanding Prostart student who is an amazing cook and baker. She is a kind person who makes sure others feel welcome around her and is full of creative ideas.
Friendly reminder that PTC is tonight! If parents/guardians come, students will receive 2 hours of detention credit if needed! Teachers will be in their individual classrooms to better accommodate social distancing. Please allow teachers to have a dinner break provided by our amazing PTA from 4:30-5:00. Thank you!!
