Three SFHS art students participated recently in the 43rd Annual Utah All-State High School Art show at the Springville Museum of Art.

Jacob Warnock, Baylie Nusink and Billy Schaefermeyer were selected to show their art work along side other student artists from around the state.

This competitive art show starts at the school level, where art teachers select about 12 pieces of student art to submit to the competition. Those pieces are then judged by a committee selected by the museum. Out of more than 1,000 pieces submitted, 300 are selected to be displayed at the show.Warnock, Nusink and Schaefermeyer showed work in photography, water colors, and oil and acrylic painting. "It is a very competitive show, and is very difficult to get accepted into it. All the artwork we took to the show was excellent, and those artists that had their artwork judged should be commended," said Kathryn Roberts, SFHS art teacher.
