Students in Mrs. Smith's floriculture class prepare for the spring by getting their planting started! People don't realize how early you need to start planting for the season. It takes time and effort, but the students in her class really enjoy what they get to do. So far they have planted Cana Lilies, Petunias, Zinias, and all their other bedding plants.  Students have to keep a close eye on things and make sure they get enough water, sunlight and fertilizer. When the flowers get big enough to sale the students will then be in charge of that as well. All together they say the class is a good break from the reality of school, you can be having a bad day but the second you walk in and see the flowers your mood totally changes. Something else that is exciting about floriculture is anyone is able to take the class. You don't have to have any special talents. It looks like its going to be a good season for the floriculture students.
