On Tuesday, March 15, the Spanish Fork High School TSA chapter traveled to Jordan, in the Salt Lake Valley, to participate in the VEX Robotics competition at the State TSA Convention. The group took their robot to compete with 18 other robots from schools across the state. Each robot participated in five two on two matches to receive a seed. The first four seeds were guaranteed to play for the competition title and reward. Spanish Fork’s robot was ranked 5th when it came down to making an alliance with another robot. The first seed made an alliance with the second seed, now Spanish Fork was guaranteed a spot in the finals. Spanish Fork made an alliance with the seven seed and proceeded to plan a strategy. Due to the set bracket, Spanish Fork was set against the first alliance where they were badly outmatched. All those who attended were glad that they went and thought that it was a great experience.
