Jack Swenson Inducted into Spanish Fork High School Athletics Hall of Fame

Jack Swenson was recently inducted into Spanish Fork High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1954. While in high school he served on the student council and participated on the football, basketball and baseball teams. He was chosen to be on the 1954 All-State basketball team. Mr. Swenson graduated for BYU in 1958 with a degree in Physical Education and Health. He received his Masters Degree in 1974 in Community Education and Recreation. His teaching career began in Toole, Utah. He returned to Nebo School District in 1959 and continued teaching until 1977 when he became the Community School/Recreation Director for Spanish Fork City. After 37 years with Nebo School District, Mr. Swenson retired. During his years as the Spanish Fork Recreation Director, Mr. Swenson has organized many youth and adult sports programs. He was extremely involved in planning and creating new fields, tennis courts, skateboard park, water park and maintenance of the all the parks.
