On Wednesday, January 12, Spanish Fork High School Student Council found themselves busy preparing for a lunchtime activity in the Commons. While the Senior Council boiled gallons of water, the Student Body Officers found tons of paper and scissors to make snowflakes, and the Junior Council brought fun games to play. As soon as the bell rang, students from all over the school began flocking to the main building. Everyone knows nothing is better on a cold day than a delicious cup of cocoa. So while students waited in line, eager for their hot chocolate, members from the student council invited them to come test their snowflake-making abilities. Students cut out all kinds of snowflakes, ranging from small to large, but all were out done by Mrs. Bake, who presented a snowflake that was two and a half feet in diameter! The over all atmosphere was one of pure enjoyment by those who attended. One student, Melinda Lundgreen said, "It was really fun to hang out with my friends and the hot chocolate definitely hit the spot." It was a very successful activity, and students at SFHS can plan on having a lot more fun experiences just like it.
