All State Art Show

The Utah All-State High School Art Show "honors the best high school artists in the state for their talent, creativity and dedication."  "This year 1,016 works from 100 schools were entered. Of these entries, 337 were selected for display in the exhibition." Spanish Fork High School had three pieces accepted into the show, and two of those won awards. Lily Dayton's painting of the fire above Woodland Hills was accepted. Sarah Wessman's colored pencil drawing "Potpourri" was purchased by the Utah State Board of Education, and won a purchase award.

Detention Credit opportunity!! 1.5 hours of detention credit for attending the presentation Monday night at 7 in the auditorium!!!

Parent Night Presentation Monday, April 15, 7 pm: We are holding a presentation for parents and students on anxiety/depression and how to manage social media and cell phone use. Dr. Kane is a clinical mental health counselor who specializes in trauma and neurological changes in the brain.

In the auditorium – 1.5 hours of detention credit for attending!!!

Utah Shakespeare in Nebo Schools: MACBETH

The Utah Shakespeare Festival is once again hitting the road with its Shakespeare-in-the-Schools touring production – this year performing one of the world’s first psychological thrillers, William Shakespeare’s MacbethAn afternoon performance will be held on Monday, April 15, at 3:30 p.m. at Spanish Fork High, 300 West 99 North, Spanish Fork. An evening performance will be held Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 at Springville High School, 1205 E. 900 S., Springville, UT. Admission is free. Michael Bahr, the festival’s education director directed this production.

Code to Success Summer Program

SheTech Explorer Day

SheTech Explorer Day is a hands-on tech conference for high school girls 9th through 12th grade. This day-long event will include hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  Our ultimate goal is to expose girls to technology in a fun atmosphere as well as meet STEM role models to learn more about opportunities in those fields.

FFA State Convention Success

On March 14-16 the Spanish Fork FFA took 50 students to the State FFA Convention in Logan Utah.  Students were able to compete, participate in workshops, listen to motivational speeches, and be entertained. Our chapter was able to see a lot of success. The following students participated in each of the categories.

Maddie Johnson was honored for her grades through the Zion’s Pays for As Scholarship. Bryan Halverson of Zion’s Bank in Spanish Fork and her parents surprised her in her AP Calculus class with the award. Great job Maddie. You are ROCK SOLID!
