Swimming, this six month season activity is one of Spanish Fork's favorite sports! December 2-4 2010, SFHS swim team had a weekend of tournaments! They left on Thursday during school and went straight to Richfield for their first tournament; there they were greeted warmly by the advosary. Tanner Greenwood won the 500 yard swim, beating his closest opponent by 30 seconds. SF also dominated the relays; both the 200, and the 400. Spanish Fork High School took home the over all win at their first meet! After the Richfield tournament, they loaded back on the bus and headed straight on to Cedar City, in great anticipation for the meet the following day. On Friday morning the team started the day with some teamwork exercises and putting on skits before heading to the meet. At the meet on Friday the school swam excellently! Considering the size of the student body, and the size of the team, they placed better than any other school was expecting. Saturday was the second half of the Cedar City meet, in which the swimmers continued to swim like champions, and came home feeling exhausted, but good. Like a lot of the teams here at SFHS, the swim team is one where everyone is a friend, and every team member has a lot of respect for one another, their coaches and their opponents. Way to be Dons swim team! Let's hear it for Spanish Fork High School!
