Students Get Glimpse of Next Level at Annual College Day

The class of 2015 has a lot to think about when choosing where to go to school next year, but after this year's annual College Day, they have a lot more information to help them. Representatives from colleges and universities from around the state of Utah were at Spanish Fork High School on Wednesday, October 1 to meet with seniors and provide them with information about their schools.

"It is a great opportunity for our seniors to get a wealth of information on colleges without leaving our campus," said Dawn Draper, counselor at SFHS.

The event started with a general assembly for all seniors. Then they each chose three breakout sessions to attend with the colleges they were most interested in.

"The best part is seeing students get excited about college and excited about the opportunity to go to college.  They also have a contact person at each school that they feel they can speak to after meeting with the reps." said Draper.

Seniors applying for college and scholarships should keep in mind deadlines. December 1 is the scholarship deadline for BYU, USU, and UofU. Other deadlines vary from March to May.
