Sandra Vergara, a student at Spanish Fork High School, took first place in Region with her Reflections project. The project consisted of a video depicting what beauty is, which was the theme for this year’s Reflections contest. She received a certificate and a medal for winning Region, and will soon advance to the State competition. She said this about winning Region, “I felt really good; when I got the letter I screamed at the top of my lungs.” She was inspired to do her project after reading a book about Philosophy. Even though she is nervous about State, she is ecstatic to go on and compete. We wish Sandra the best of luck in State and congratulate her on winning Region.
