The choirs of Spanish Fork High School have just returned from competing at the Heritage Festival in Anaheim, California, where each choir scored the highest rating of GOLD. The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers not only scored gold, but qualified for an invitation to sing in New York City’s Carnegie Hall. For the second year in a row, the vocal jazz choir, Encore and the Singers Show Choir each won 1st place in their divisions. These two groups were also privileged to perform on one of Disneyland’s main stage performing venues. In addition, two of the choirs’ accompanists, Kristie Stoneman and Dee Leavitt, whose work stood out among festival participants, each received special honors for their work behind the piano.
