Spanish Fork High School has teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Utah County to help build homes for people living in substandard housing. Our project to help this organization comes with a variety of ways you can help. “Homeless for One Night” “Homeless for One Night” is an all night walking relay to be held on April 29/30 at the SFHS football field and track. Participants will form teams of five to walk throughout the night. When members of the team are not walking, they will participate in fun activities. The registration for the event is $100 per team/$20 per person. The team members can donate the money themselves or earn the money through creative means such as bake sales or seek sponsors for their teams. This event is meant to challenge the students physically while raising awareness and money for a local charity in a safe, secure, friendly environment. Housing Site Service Students can volunteer to work at a Habitat for Humanity construction site in Orem. We are looking for volunteers for the following shifts: • Saturday, April 23—8-11am • Saturday, April 23—1-4pm • Tuesday, April 26—8-11am • Tuesday, April 26—1-4pm • Wednesday, April 27—8-11am • Wednesday, April 27—1-4pm To sign up for a volunteer shift, students need to pick up a waiver form in the main office at school and return it signed to Deon Youd in room D-7. The shifts will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please join us in supporting Habitat for Humanity as we make a difference in our own community.
