SF Lady Golfers Fight for the State Title

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Spanish Fork High’s Girls Golf Team has been fighting since day one to hold their title as Region Champs. After the shoulder injury of their best player, Karlie Abplanalp, the rest of the girls stepped up to help win 2nd in Region only a few points behind Uintah. Every single player has worked hard to have the great season they’ve had. The Lady Dons have had practice every week day, including a usual hour work out, and can’t wait to give it their all at the state tournament. Only four players from each team are allowed to play at the State Tournament. The first two guaranteed spots are Britney Munter and McKenzie Beckstrom. Lydia Money, Kellie Christensen, and Sabrina Naulu are all doing their best to be one of the two remaining spots and represent Spanish Fork High School. The Lady Don Golf Team did well at state with Britney Munter qualified for 1st team All-State. Kellie Christensen came in 2nd, Lydia Money came in 3rd, and McKenzie Beckstrom placed 4th for the Lady Dons team.
