NHS Spreads Thanksgiving Cheer

Members fo the National Honor Society made the Thanksgiving holiday a little brighter for several families in the Spanish Fork area with their annual Thanksgiving Dinner service project. The NHS gathered, packaged, and delivered turkeys and all the fixings to about 40 families on November 20, 2014.

The NHS gathers the names of families in need from other teachers at SFHS as well as local religious leaders. Using food donated during a food drive, the NHS makes sure each family gets a complete Thanksgiving meal.

"It's fabulous to give it," said Kimmie Brammall, member of the NHS council. "Just the expression on their faces, it's the best part."

Providing Thanksgiving dinners to area families is a long time tradition for the National Honor Society.
