It's back to school time at Spanish Fork High School, and things have started off better than ever. Students returned to classes on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, meeting new teachers and greeting old friends. Student received their new "Rock Solid" t-shirts, a Spanish Fork High tradition, on Thursday, and most students wore them on Friday.

Also on Friday, students gathered at the opening assembly in the auditorium. During the assembly, they met their student council representatives, sang along to the fight song with the cheerleaders and band, and applauded a performance by the drill team. Student body president Ridge Payne introduced the students to the theme for the year, "We're on each other's team," noting that no matter what extra-curricular activities students do, they all belong to the same Spanish Fork High School team. Principal Dave McKee then addressed the student body, welcoming them back for another great year.

The assembly wrapped up with the newly sworn in "Spirit Spaniard" leading the crowd in a favorite cheer, the Don Crunch.
