Nicole Koyle, a senior at Spanish Fork High School, knows first hand that it pays to get As. She is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from Zion's Bank and the Pays for As program. Representatives from Zion's Bank surprised Nicole with the award at the Homecoming assembly in September.

"I didn't have any idea," said Koyle.

Koyle qualified for the scholarship by taking her report cards to Zions Bank where she earned $1 for each A. She said she knew that there was a drawing for a scholarship but didn't think much about it.

"I knew, but I didn't think it would happen to me," said Koyle. "Hard work really pays off."

Koyle was selected in a drawing from all the Pays for As participants in the state. She is still considering her options for college but knows this money will help wherever she decides to go.
