Goal Record Shattered!

By Shideler Bennett, Glade Johnson This season, (Super Star) Courtney Acosta broke the record for most goals in a season with a whopping 13 goals. The previous record was 11. Courtney said, “I knew about the record but wasn’t trying to break it; it just happened.” She had some help from Shandy and Cassidy, who did a great job punching the ball up the field. “I didn’t know I had beaten the record until our game with Salem Hills at the end of the season,” said Courtney. Courtney is a very dedicated soccer player; she practices about 3 hours a day outside of actual soccer practice. She is a junior this year and is planning on trying to breakg her previous record in the following season. Courtney is the daughter of Dave and Danielle Acosta. In the future, Courtney is hoping to play soccer at the next level.
